The Globe at Home Prepaid Wifi only allows Globe/TM/GOMO Sim to be used on the modem, but we can still openline the modem so we can use any sim like Smart, TNT, and Dito SIM. So we don't have to buy multiple modems for our SIM.
How to Open Line Globe at Home Prepaid Wifi
Follow these simple steps to open line your Globe at Home Prepaid Wifi modem, you can also do this using your cellphone.
Step 1: Insert your preferred SIM into the Globe at Home Prepaid WiFi modem. You can insert a Smart, TNT, or DITO SIM. It's better to insert a SIM that already has mobile data promo for testing.
Step 2: Turn ON the modem, then connect your device to the modem.
Step 3: Open your browser app, then go to http://192.168.254.254 then click Login.
Step 4: Enter the Username and Password then LOGIN. The username and password can be found at the back of your modem.
Step 5: Now, select Device Settings > Advance Settings > DHCP
Step 6: Click the URL on the search bar, then edit the URL from this http://192.168.254.254/index.html?t=#router_setting to this http://192.168.254.254/index.html?t=#mcc_mnc_locking then click enter
Step 7: Under MCC/MNC Locking, select Disabled and click Apply, then confirm by clicking Yes
Step 8: Your modem will be restarted. Connect to the Globe at Home Wifi again, then check if you are already connected to the internet.
Also, beware that doing this openline method will be considered a tampered modem by Globe Telecom.
